John Deere Day
One of the most enjoyable and anticipated events each year in the rural town in which I grew up was John Deere Day featuring Walter Cronkite as host, Charley Weaver and a simulated farm family all preparing to go to John Deere Day. Of course the main event each year was a film about the new equipment. This always came after the local mechanics, who were somewhat less talented in that endeavor than their usual day jobs, served lunch.
Are DVDs available of these classic shows.

Back in late 80s and early 90s the TWO CYLIDER CLUB had about 20-25 of these JD Day films available on VCR….from eary 30s to 1960
