1863 Hawkeye Riding Cultivator by Deere
Is there any way to find a picture of this to confirm what we may have.I read in the history area and this is the timeline of the item we have.
1863 The company makes the Hawkeye Riding Cultivator, the first Deere implement adapted for riding.
I took pictures of ours yesterday so if I may I can attach or post a picture of what we have.

Linda wanted to know if she had a Hawkeye Riding Cultivator, the first tool made by John Deere with a seat for riding. She wanted to see a photo of it.John Deere Archives has only one illustration of this machine. It is shown on page 205 of Genuine Value , published published by Deere in 2000.
The same illustration is found on page 7 of John Deere Tractors and Equipment Volume One 1837-1959 appears to be slightly clearer. Over 50,000 of these books have been sold so it should be easy to find one from a John Deere collector.
